News Flash

... and now, we will continue the terrifying story of the smartest young boy in the world, people have said he is smarter than Einstein, but today, gave us a different idea about the young boy. We just got some more information on the smart brave boy: he is 11 years old, he goes to the University of Georgia, and he can faint over little things. According to the horse which is now being interrogated , to talk and say what happened, he quoted and said, "Hay Sup!" to the young boy, We cant reveal all of the information about the boy, but we might at the closing minutes of the show. Apparently there were more incidents of him, and other animals on the bottom left sight of the picture. Once again a policeman happened to be at the scene eating mini dohgnuts with chocolate sauce and a hanfull of sprinkles, saw exactly what happened. My orders are to say exactly what happened, so here we go, the boy is in acoma, his mother, who was driving died because she was so shocked and choked on her own saliva, and the horse was sent to a life sentence in Goergia prison. Thats not it though the horse escaped of the prison, and the youg boy has woken, and is in good condition, but now im hearing that he has remembered what happened and fell back in to acoma, but we dont know yet he might be dead, he might of swallowed on his own saliva like his mother, and for the camel... it might be back to haunt other geniuses in the world, like George Bush.

Over the Easter Break

•We were all sitting in class,in exploratory class, and we were all eager for class to finish, because we all had two weeks off for Easter Break, as class was finishing there was not one person who didn't look at the clock that day throughout that last exploratory class. Finally the bell rang, we all shouted HAPPY EASTER to each other and ran out of the class like the Olympics 100 meter run. When I arrived at home I opened the front door of my house, threw my bag anywhere I could, took my shoes off, opened a coke and sat down on the couch to watch T.V. Although I was relaxing I was saying to myself, "What in the world am I going to do for two weeks?" even my football club at the UN that I go to every Saturday was stopped for the Easter Break, So I even asked my Mom, that question, and she replied by telling me that my sister was coming this Friday, and once again I questioned myself," Is that a good thing or not?" The days that were followed until Friday weren't that exciting, I played on my consoles I spent more quality time with my two dogs, and before I knew it, it was already Friday. We arrived at the airport on Friday afternoon, and because it was the first time she has lived in England, London, by herself she was telling us many facts and how exciting it was to work there, but she also mentioned how profound London is especially at night. By the time we came home it was nearly 5 o'clock and considering that she wasn't Jet-Lagged we decided to play a few board games, but not just any board game though Texas Hold'Em, up to now I've played it so many times its starting to be my 3rd superlative hobby, after consoles and football. We all spent the next few days in peace, we were all enjoying our selves and having a good time, on Monday it was a special day for me, not because my Moms best Women was coming over with her family but because we were eating Souvla, you have to understand that my dad cooks very rarely and by that I mean it could be about 12 days out of the 365 days of the year that he decides to cook, I probably cook more times a year than he does. That day I had lots of company with her two sons that I have known ever since I was 4 years old and possibly younger. All the nights that were followed until Easter Saturday we didn't even have to eat any food because we had snacks baked from my Grandmother called Flaounes and Tzoureki, and we were nibbling pieces off every few minutes. Every Easter my Grandpa makes the traditional Cypriot soup, (Which I could probably live off of) but he wasn't here this Easter so we weren't eating any soup, so I thought. It was an hour and a half before we were about to go to Church, and my dad walks in the kitchen with a big smile on his face possibly bigger than the jokers and he says, "Im making the traditional Cypriot soup tonight, we didn't know what to expect. We got to the church and waited to start the ceremony, when it began it was time to light our candles, but it was only aloud to be lit by the pope or someone around you who had his or hers lit by the pope of course, but unfortunately because my dad didn't know much about Cypriot traditions he pulled out a lighter to light the candle, when he pulled it out we gazed at him and turned away to act like we don't know him. Something about being in a big crowd or a traditional religion makes me very dizzy and incoherent, and when I blinked I found myself sitting down on the dinner table and even the soup was served in my bowl. I tried the soup and I have never eaten anything as awful in my life before besides tomatoes I tried to give him the best compliment I could, but the truth was, I was eating with my nose closed, most of the rice went to the dogs and the actual soup was sank into the soil of a plant next to me. The rest of the days past by so fast, it was the last weekend I had left before school started again, and my sister was leaving the day after, so we decided to go to one of our favorite restaurants called the Paragadi, which is opposote of the school.

Twister

The movie Twister was created in 1996, it was directed by Jan De Bont and it was written by Ann Marie Martin and Michael Critchton. Bill Harding a retired meteorologist and his wife Melissa were arranging a marriage, but were not aloud to do so until Jo (Bill Harding’s X-Wife) signed divorce papers. When meeting up at a near by base camp, Jo had her pen on the paper and was ready to sign the divorce papers but tornados change both Bill and Jo’s plans. Bill missing chasing tornados decided to go along with the ride, as the story goes on Bill gets closer and closer to Jo, and when Melissa actually discovers this she broke up with Bill but they both were not upset about it. There only desire was to use the machine on the tornados to find out more about them, but this is not revealed until the near end, but many complications interfere, they are challenged by an other group which stole their idea about their machine invention, they are also complicated with Jo’s fear of F5’s (One of these killed her father at a young age), and them not being able to get close enough to engage their invention with the tornados. When I watch movies I try to look at it from both perspective's, even though it was an old film, and has no comparison to movies now, I didn’t enjoy it very much, I think that the director had a good story plot and was confident about making the film, but he should have thought out of the box and come up with something no one has ever seen in movies, because that’s what movies are for, (To watch something very different to others) and he could have elaborated more on the story. The movie was also far fetched about many scenes, for example standing or driving a few meters just next to a tornado, would have definitely killed you, also many other scenes, could have needed more improvement, I think the director tried his best but I don’t think he thought about how realistic it was, by this I mean he didn’t compare it to real life events beside the actual machine used to find more information on tornados. Beside the negative things about it I believe the director was like an American in the Second World War, he put as much money as he could, to make it look brilliant, also for the computer graphics on the tornados. I also believe the director was trying to prove a very strong point, and I think the message was to ware more awareness about nature, because it is always unpredictable, and also however hard life gets or your sitting their in the dirt there is always something you can do about it. If your wondering my name is DR. Phil Apeno, and no I am not from the Philippines, I have just started my studies at a University called Onepal in Canada, and I'm looking for a partner to chase down my dream, beside that I would also like to have my own station on T.V. I have been recently working on a new invention that informs me when there will be a tornado a day before it actually happens. If anyone is interested please contact me on www. Turnado.com.

Honor killings

Honor killings are very disturbing and sometimes just unacceptable cases, but in some countries there is no law. Honor killings are any type of murders, with very assaulting violence of a family member or even a friend, that has shown you a sign of dishonor. This occurs in many countries along with continents, most of the reported cases are in Europe, the Middle East, North America, and South Asia. The most eyewitness cases are, choosing to wear different clothes, engaging sexual acts, arguing and seeking a divorce. A civilian can murder someone without knowing any of the facts, or having any type of evidence. The estimated amount of people that die a year are over 5,000, and most of them could have been avoided by knowing and understanding all of the details and information. Honor suicides is a recent reported case that journalists and reporters have just found out, it has mainly occurred in Turkey up to now. Honor suicides are even more dramatic and disturbing than honor killings, it is a case where a man or woman pressures or forces someone else to commit suicide. This may be done so the victim can avoid penalties for murder, or escape some sort of shame, but no one knows. Over 80 Iraqi woman in Diyala were convinced and forced into honor suicides. As crazy or surprising this must be Europe has many reported cases of honor killings. In 2005 six Muslim women that immigrated to Berlin, were brutally murdered by family members and friends, one of the 6 Muslim woman was murdered by her brother for not staying with her husband that was forced into marriage. In the United Kingdom over a dozen people including men and women were killed by honor by family members and friends. South Asia is one of the worst reported continents for honor killings, UNICEF and many journalists have reported that in India, less than a year there were more than 5,000 reported cases for honor killings, most of these killings are 99.9% pointless. In South Asia honor killings are also referred as Karo Kari, (Pakistan, refers honor killings as Karo Kari) many attempts have been made into punishing the victims more strictly depending on each case. One reported case that is just terrifying, is when a 57 year old father-in-law murdered an 8 month old baby that was accused for carrying a child. An other case in South Asia was quite recently, 3, 17 year olds were buried alive and brutally injured because they refused an arranged marriage. Honor killings is not a law, and is legal in some countries but I don’t think this should be, it is 100% unreasonable and unnecessary. There is already enough killings, and murders in the world for pointless reasons. Someone that is currently in power should do something about this, because cases that have been reported in some newspapers are just repulsive, even some tourists or people that have come on holiday can be involved in this, and if nothing does happen this could be a big issue in the future.

Shabanu Anticipation Guide

• 1. It is possible to experience love at first sight.
I disagree with this statement 100%, even most of the population in the world actually experiences love at first sight,, but I personally think it is pathetic, how can someone look at an other human being and in that instant you fall in love and get married. You don’t get a chance to get to know the person well enough for example their hobbies intrests and many more things.

• 2. Two complete strangers stuck on a deserted island could learn to love one another.
I agree with this statement because gradually they both learn to depend on one an other and more than that they both learn to share. I think though it’s also how they are the only human beings on that island, and both individuals know that they wont be rescued for a while so they do end up in love

• 3. It is a good thing to sacrifice your happiness for the desire of others.
I disagree with this statement because what is the point of life without maybe happiness or laughter, it’s the thing that let’s you enjoy life. Also to do something to make others happy doesn’t mean that you won’t be happy with that decision, but you could end up doing harm to yourself by sacrificing your happiness' for others.

• 4.Women in your society are free citizens.
I agree and disagree with this statement, I agree with this because I've seen many couples that get in too many arguments but they still have this click, like a connection that makes them be together even more. I disagree with this statement because many Cypriot men treat their wives like they are nothing and I don’t know the reason but they don’t answer back or divorce them.

The Outsiders

For once in my life I actually enjoyed the book comparison to the movie, when I first watched the movie just when we started to read the book, I found it to be quite good, it was a bit long but I enjoyed it. After a few days when we got deeper into the story I was changing perspectives, whilst reading it, it was like reading a completely different book comparison to the movie. The book revealed lots more than the movie, I could understand the characters so much more, and I also favored the book more because it was first-person view, so it was easier to understand, its like S.E Hinton was bringing these characters to life. I enjoyed the book much more than the film for many reasons, but one thing that does make me quite furious in all scenarios is when the author describes and makes up a character, and then the director of the film makes him/her completely the opposite, for example:
The character Johnny in the Outsiders book was very interesting, S.E Hinton characterized him as a normal teenager, that likes to hang out more with his pals (the gang) than his parents, he could be very courageous and brave most of the times and he shows it very well, for instance when Johnny was with Ponyboy at the park just walking around the block and the Socs came he acted so tough by taking a cigarette out of his pocket, and pulling his sleeves up. In the film its like his a different character. One other thing that really annoyed me was Sodapop’s part in the film, by that I mean, he was so important to Ponyboy, and obviously Ponyboy was the protagonist, so he Should have played a very big and important role in the movie, but he doesn’t, he briefly plays a role in the movie. There were many small and big things that disappointed me, but mostly it was the movie.

The weekly Crunkicle

Today on CNN, two chilren one at the age of 9 and the other one at the age of 5 have been held captive by 20 microscopic chipmunks, the small children are not moving at all they are even having trouble trying to breath, the expresions on their face shows that they are very scared and are trembling with fear. It was at the same beach were a swamp of killer hamsters attacked three weeks ago, the chipmunks threatened the people of America at precisly 15:47:31 the police was first to get there, they closed off the area were the young children were threatened. Also once again people are diving into the sea and hiding under the sand just incase they attack other people, and also because of the pressure. We dont know what will happen to the children and the whole beach is packed with S.W.A.T. teams police officers and even, the sky is packed with helicopters. The kids are still being held as hostages, and we will return to this matter after we discuss why Brad Pitt bought a 300 dollar car.
